'The Things We Do For A Show'

Having been given the part of Leanne in last year's show. 'GIGI'. my looks had to change dramatically. Fred [Wharton - the producer] wanted a blonde. busty female for the part, and those of you who know me, will know that I am the complete opposite of that!
However not wanting to be beaten, I managed to borrow some boobs!! and a blonde wig was hired.
Every night our dressing room was highly amused at my transformation and a song 'Tits and Ass' from "A CHORUS LINE" came to mind.
Once ready to go on stage, hardly anyone recognised me at first. I was over the moon at this, because for the first time in my life, and probably the last, I had a cleavage!
At the end of each show. not only did my costumes get hung up and the wig and false eye-lashes come off, but also the boobs had to be removed.
Oh well, at least I had a bust for one week of my life!!
