• "SMIKE" is a pop musical based on Charles Dickens' 'Nicholas Nickleby'

The story is of a group of present day Comprehensive School children who go back in time to the world of Charles Dickens.  There, they see for themselves that their lot in the twentieth century is  infinitely better than that of the ill-fated children of 'Dotherboys Hall'.
