"BUGSY
MALONE"
SSAOS Junior 1994 production
In this musical, Bugsy Malone is the laid-back narrator. In his dry fashion, he tells the story of Dandy Dan and Fat Sam, as they lead their rival gangs of hoodlums into ever more desperate action, one gang being totally out-classed by the 'weapons' of the other.
Bugsy Malone strongly evokes the style and the magic of the 30's with the gangsters and their molls, the speakeasy and the get-away car. With its catchy toe-tapping tunes, it creates a spoof of the times throwing a real custard pie in the face of the period
