Chapter 2 - Shows 1918 - (Date)
You will no doubt observe that a number of the pre war shows do not have a link to a detailed page concerning the show. This also applies to some concert performances.
The information contained on each of these pre-war linked pages (blue and underlined) has been obtained from the collection of programmes collected over the years by the late Stewart Blenkinsop and then passed on to the programme secretary, Margaret Wood. I am indebted to her for the loan of them in order to maximise the information.
However a number of show programmes and those of some concert performances are still missing. I appeal to anyone who has bits of history of the SSAOS tucked up in an old tea chest in their loft, to look through them and see if they have programmes for 1920. 1923,1924, and 1926, and the missing concert performances to get in touch with either Margaret Wood or myself - my addresses are listed on the Home Page of this web site.
